2017 “Mingara One” Central Coast 10 Km Fun Run
Not my best races, but enough to win my age group. 43 mins after sub 21 at 5k.
Parkrun
Well that was a strange week.
Tuesday. Oct 10. I felt good warming up. Run thrus were good.
My session was a “fast one” in that the efforts were longer than the rests.
It was meant to be 7k, but in the session I decided to cut back to 5k as I was not going well.
The first km was good but then I started to slow. I finished 5km in 20:44.
Oh much slower that 20:000 two weeks ago.
Thursday. Oct 12. The program was 40 mins with 4 x 1 min hills. The same as last week.
I used my street as the hill part. Its more than 1 min to run up. Usually 1:15 to 1:20
So I did 37:52 for the session, of 8.1km Last week was over 42 mins.
Saturday. Oct 14 Park run. I thought I could do a good time. I started well, but felt the pressure after 2k. I really pushed hard to finish in 20:26.
No fast, but I checked that it was my best time this year on that course.
Sunday Oct 15. I decided to do a run around Narrabeen lake. After a 2k warmup. I ran steady. At 7k, I decided to run faster for 1km. I did that in 4:05.
I finished the lep of 8.4k in 37:54. That’s ok for a training run.
Milo 41st National Marathon
Early Morning, 5am, start to beat the Heat.
Race end, feeling sweaty.
Still sweaty. Trying to cool down in the recovery tent. The top 10 had to wait here for 45 minutes before the presentation.
Medal Presentation
Top 10 results. The course was mostly flat road, with some sections of gravel. Fairly fast. I did not take advantage of that. I thought I would be faster based on my recent training. Still, 43:08 is ok. I gave my best.

Curl Curl Parkrun #228
September 9, 2017
I did not feel great during warmup. Knee was a little sore, and a few tight muscles.
It was cold and windy. I kept and even pace to finish in 20:40. That’s slower than most of my training lately.
My rank and performance under “Age Grade” showing the test of “time vs age”. It gives a % of the World Standard for every age/gender.
Well, not bad…and I am in a way happy to be at No. 6 :-). I did at 20:43, the one who made it to no. 1 is a guy in the 40-44 age category at 17:13, a 3:30 minute difference to my results for a 20+ years age variation.
